Mount Lokon is an active volcano as high as 1,580 meters above sea level located in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, about 20 km from Manado. As a twin mountain with Mount Empung, Lokon is known to have an active crater called Tompaluan which often emits volcanic ash. This mountain offers a beautiful panorama and is often a climbing destination, although currently we can only enjoy its beauty at the foot of Mount Lokon.
